EDON: February 21, 2014 – They’re rivals in the TAAC, and they’re also rivals in the BBC. The Edon Blue Bombers welcomed the Hilltop Cadets into The Hangar for a Senior Night smackdown on February 21.
The story of the game was the Edon defense. With the guards creating turnovers and the Boys in Bomber Blue converting those turnovers into points, the frustration for the Cadets mounted as quickly as their deficit. The game was physical, and became chippy on more than one occasion. A late Hilltop rally prevented the game from becoming a BBC blowout as the Bomber faithful enjoyed the Senior Night win over the Cadet Cadre by a 59-44 score.
Kaden Sapp led all scorers with 18 for the Bombers, with Mike Peeples adding 11 points and River Wicker 9. Jacob Brown and Landon Bloir each had 7 points, Wyatt Walkowski 5, and Preston Klingler and Floyd Young had a point apiece.
Quinn Smith posted 16 to lead Hilltop, with Tim Maneval adding 9. Jalen Towers and Miklo Abner had 6 points apiece, Nic Scheiber had 3 points, and Ryan Brooker and Xavier Lowery each had 2.
