Edon Elem 2015 R2R Week - LHF(5) WEBFor everyone at Edon Elementary School, it was an exciting way to wrap up the year. Throughout the week of May 19-26, 2015 students and teachers joined together to celebrate reading by hosting a fun-filled “Right to Read Week”. This year’s theme, Fairy Tale Fever!”, not only sparked the imagination of each student but also cultivated their love for reading through enrichment activities, reading goals, guest readers, Family Literacy Night and the ever-popular door-decorating contest.

Capping off the week-long event was the highly anticipated field trip to Parkview Field in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Students completing the TinCaps Reading Program travelled to the Summit City to watch the Fort Wayne TinCaps take on Midland, Michigan’s Great Lakes Loons. Cheering “their” team towards victory was a wonderful way to conclude the awesome week.
