December 2015 proved to be a very successful month for the Edon FFA Novice Parliamentary Procedure Team. Not only did they qualify for state competition with their second place finish at District ~ just the second time to do so in school history ~ they captured third place state honors as well!

Twenty teams from across Ohio advanced to the state contest held December 19 at The Ohio State University. Divided into heats during the preliminary round, only the winning team moved forward in the competition. Taking first in their heat, Edon’s team qualified to advance to the finals where they completed their season third in the state.

Members of the 2015-2016 team ~ eighth graders Riley Bloir, Alea Brandt, Aidan Muehlfeld, Claire Radabaugh, Tatum Schaffter, Cameron Siebenaler, Connor Skiles, Shane Zulch ~ successfully competed against freshman teams at every level to earn Edon FFA Chapter its first banner in parliamentary procedure (teams need to place in the top five at state to win a banner). The team was coached by Hannah Everetts, Edon FFA Chapter Advisor.
