There is only one way to start the day, and that is with a good breakfast. It gives one the energy they need to take on whatever may come in the morning hours.
As it turns out, that’s also the best way to start a week.
The Edon Future Farmers of America (FFA) hosted a free breakfast on Saturday, February 21, in commemoration of the beginning of National FFA week. Several members of the school’s FFA chapter took part in preparing the meal for anyone who wished to attend. In fact, for a few of the male members, doing so was a new experience entirely.
“A few of the boys back there are getting their first experience cooking.” Hannah Crossing, Edon FFA Adviser, stated.
From the hours of seven to ten in the morning, Edon residents came and went, treating themselves to the free pancakes and sausages available to them. While eating in the school auditeria, they reminisced with one another over the hot food and coffee.
All in all, it was a wonderful and energetic start to FFA Week in Edon.
