The annual Cinderella Project in Edon is about to culminate with the sale of prom dresses for only $10.
The event began in 2005 with former Edon teacher Robin Spangler at the helm. She got the project off to a good start, but unfortunately died of cancer in 2006.
Since then the project has been in the capable hands of Pam Rupp, a teacher at Edon as well.
This year’s sale is from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the high school. Dresses are $10, while accessories and shoes are going for much less, Rupp said.
All of the money will go to the Cancer Assistance of Williams County.
A fashion show sponsored by David’s Bridal begins at 7:30 p.m. March 31.
“He’s bringing his new dresses,” Rupp said. “There will be ten girls and male escorts.”
A free-will offering will be taken for the cancer group, Rupp said.
Most years, there is a line at the door when the sale begins, she said. The sale brought in $400 last year.
