(September 30th, 2014)-WEST UNITY: The Edon Junior Varsity Squad improved to 13-3 overall and a perfect 7-0 in league play as they defeated the Lady Cadets of Hilltop.

Making the trip to West Unity to take on the Cadets, the Lady Bombers didn’t seem to be bothered by any of the pressure commonly associated with playing on the road. Even still, the girls of Hilltop played with pride, challenging their Edon counterparts late in the match.

Getting off to a slow start, Hilltop suffered a devastating loss in the first set, dropping the game 8-25. The hometown Cadets were able to shake off the defeat, however, and went toe to toe with the Bombers in game 2. The set belonged to the girls from Edon, though, as they narrowly defeated Hilltop 26-24 to earn the match and continue their unbeaten streak within the confines of the Buckeye Border Conference.
