September 4th-PIONEER: In junior varsity competition, the Bombers from Edon made the trek to Pioneer to do battle with the girls of North Central. Even with home court advantage working against them, the Bombers were still able to take the match in straight, though heavily contested, sets.
Game 1 was fairly competitive, though Edon was able to pull away for a 25-17 victory. The second set was much more intense. North Central gave the Edon girls everything they had, but the Bombers were able to withstand the attack, winning the game, and the match, 25-22.
Makalya Knapp gave the Eagles 7 aces and 3 kills in the defeat. Teammate Makayla Rizor added 5 digs, defending her side of the court well.
