(October 7th, 2014)-PETTISVILLE: On the road, with their backs against the wall, the junior varsity girls of Edon responded as one would expect a 15-3 team to react.
Taking up the Lady Blackbirds of Pettisville on their invitaion, the Bomber girls arrived at the foreign gym with a perfect 8-0 record in Buckeye Border Conference play on the line. The girls of Pettisville were well aware of this, and began the match with a chip on their shoulder.
In a seesaw scoring affair, the Blackbirds claimed game 1 25-18 to take control of the match. Facing an early exit from the series, Edon came out possessed in the second set. The Lady Bombers took game 2 25-12, necessitating a third game be played. In that decisively final third game, the girls from Edon were able to repeat their performance from the second set, earning a victory in the third 25-12 to win the match.
