EDON – The Pettisville Lady Blackbirds faced off against the Edon Bombers on Thursday, September 20. The Blackbirds put up a good fight, but lost in straight sets, 17-25, 16-25, and 20-25.
Emily Hubby and Dana Fricke of Pettisville co-led the Blackbirds with 8 kills each in the contest with Hubby also adding 8 digs, 10 assists, and 1 ace while Fricke counted 1 assist of her own along with 2 blocks. Clair Fry led the team with 13 assists, she also had 1 dig. Ashlynn Waidelich hammered 2 aces in the contest as well as 5 digs, 1 assist, and 7 kills. Devon Friend counted 2 kills as well as 1 assist while added 9 digs. Emily Eicher also had 9 digs on the night. Jordyn Pursel got on the scoreboard with 5 kills while Stephanie Hubby and Emily Kauffman played defense with 4 and 9 digs respectively.
