WAUSEON: April 29– The Edon Lady Bombers hit the road on April 29 for a contest with the NWOAL’s Wauseon lady Indians, falling in a close 3-2 decision to host Wauseon to drop to 6-6 overall on the season.
On the mound in the loss for Eon, Kaitlin Chrisman took the setback, throwing the full game giving up 3 runs off of 7 hits while striking out 3. Offensively for Edon, Haley Jacoby provided the excitement for the Bombers, connecting for a solo shot in the 2nd inning.
For the Indians in the victory, Brooke Whipple earned the W, throwing 5 strikeouts while allowing just 3 hits on the game.
At the plate for Wauseon, Olivia Banister and Ashley Smith both connected for doubles in the Lady Indians victory.
The loss drop Edon to 6-6 overall on the season while remaining at 4-3 in BBC play, while Wauseon moves to 6-11 on the season and sits at 2-5 in NWOAL play.
