Edon Lady Bombers Register Perfect BBC Season With Defeat Of Pettisville

PETTISVILLE – Pettisville in is the early stages of a rebuild of their volleyball program, and Edon…well, they were supposed to be rebuilding as well. On October 11, the Lady Bombers and the Lady Blackbirds closed out the 2012 regular season in The Birdcage with Edon a win away from an undefeated BBC campaign. So much for the rebuild as the Belles in Bomber Blue knocked off Pettisville in four sets, 25-14, 25-17, 21-25 and 25-13.

Sydney Stoll was 35/35 setting with 6 assists, and 28/28 serving with an ace, 39 digs and 20 kills for the 19-3 / 10-0 Lady Bombers, while Alex Kiess went 66/66 setting and 16/16 serving with 16 assists, an ace, 17 digs and 10 kills. Kennedy Brigle was 17/17 serving with an ace, Kaylyn Brigle was 15/15 setting with 4 assists, Andrea Headley was 10/10 serving with 24 digs, and Kaitlin Chrisman had 3 blocks. Nicole Newell was 15/15 serving with 10 digs, Becky Fisk had 10 kills and Hannah Gutting rejected 6 shots.

Claire Fry of Pettisville drove home a kill, and had 7 digs and 20 assists. Emily Hubby supplied 2 aces, 2digs, 22 assists and 15 kills. Ashlynn Waidelich landed an ace, had 3 digs, an assist and 13 kills. Devon Friend had a kill, and Carley Hoffmire had a dozen digs. Emily Eicher scored a pair of aces, 16 digs and 3 kills, and Jordyn Pursel had 3 assists, 10 digs and 5 kills. Molly Bruner had a dig and a kill, Dana Fricke had a dig, an assist and 8 kills, Stephanie Hubby had 17 digs, and Emily Kauffman contributed an ace and a kill.
