Edon Schools Remain In The Black

Edon Schools are still enjoying higher revenues in the current fiscal year.

Treasurer Deb Nester reported the school’s revenues stand at $2,426,586, that’s $252,962 higher than this time last year. Expenses are $195,000 higher than last year, but the district has a surplus of $57,857.

In other news, the district commended sophomore Tammie Julian as the High School Student of the Month for October. The Junior High SOM was seventh-grader Adam Derico.

The Building, Grounds, and Transportation Committee will need to meet soon to discuss parking lot project and future transportation needs, Superintendent John Granger said.

The following supplemental contracts were approved:
Head Baseball – Matt Peters (50%)
Head Baseball – Brien Moore (50%)
Assistant Baseball – Kenneth (Bud) Wells
Head Softball – Hilary Staten
