(February 7th, 2015) – FAYETTE: Facing a 9-5 deficit at the half, the Bomber Seventh Grade squad knew they had to improve their play if they wanted to claim a spot in the Buckeye Border Conference Finals.

Their play did improve, and they were able to pull out a 28-20 victory over a good North Central team.

Limited to just 3 points in the first quarter, and 2 points in the second, Edon gave up 4 and 5 points in each of the respective periods to North Central. The Bombers came out in the third stanza, determined to catch back up to the Eagles. With a 12-8 showing in the period, they did just that, tying the contest at 17 points each heading into the fourth and final quarter.

Edon took over the game in that period. Putting up 11 points to close out the contest, they held North Central to just 3 points down the stretch. That was enough to give the Bomber boys an 8 point win.

Leading the Bombers to victory was Austin Kiess, who had 12 points on the afternoon. Keagan Romine, Kelby Sapp, and Tatum Schaffter all added 4 points in the game as well.

Alex Lehsten led the way for North Central with 9 points. Jack Bailey added 5 points, while Manuel Cruz, Levi Williams, and Jay Garrett all contributed 2 points each in the loss.
