Tuesday, February 2 marked an important milestone for sixth-graders at Edon Northwest Elementary School; it was the 100th Day of class for the 2015-2016 school year! Wanting to make sure the day didn’t go unnoticed; teachers Mindi Kepler and Audra Nester challenged their thirty-five students to bring in one hundred food items within one week. In the end, students not only met the challenge, they surpassed their goal and collected 134 items! Preparing their donation to Edon Food Pantry, a ministry of Edon Area Ministerial Association, are from left, kneeling: Kerrin Towers, Anna Northrup and standing: Allison Kaylor, Carlie Kiess, Thomas Wehrenberg, Ashley Kaylor and Olivia Mitchell.
