(September 23rd, 2014)-STRYKER: Winning on the road is hard, but getting off to a fast start helps. This was the case when Edon traveled to Stryker. Coming out strong led to a victory in straight sets for the Bombers, despite the tough play of the hometown Panthers.

The first set saw the Bombers take over the match, as they won 25-14. The Lady Panthers played fiercely in game 2, but couldn’t overtake the girls of Edon. Stryker lost the set 22-25. Undeterred, the Panthers regrouped for the third set. Game 3 would belong to the Lady Bombers, though, as they took the set 25-20, winning the match.

The 13 kills and 7 digs of Nicole Newell played a major role in the Bomber win. Kaitlin Chrisman and her 2 aces, 2 digs, and 1 kill were also a factor for Edon. Alex Kiess had 14 assists, 2 kills, and 1 dig in the victory as well.

Maddie Uribes made 12 assists, 4 kills, and a block for the Panthers. Teammate Audra Rupp had 7 kills, 2 aces, and 2 blocks on the evening. Brittany Breier added 7 kills in the loss.
