The Edon Village Council was busy on Monday, October 2, 2023 as they convened at 7:00 p.m.

There was one thing on the agenda, and that was filling the council seat left open by the resignation of ex-councilor Brook Morris.

Council began by interviewing three potential candidates in executive session, reconvening around 7:50 p.m. to announce that Jeff Pease had been appointed to the open position as a result of a 3-2 vote.

Pease is to serve on the Edon Village Council until the beginning of next year, when there will be two council seats needing to be filled.

Mayor Duane Thiel then wrapped the meeting up ceremoniously, officially swearing Jeff Pease in as the newest council member of the Edon Village Council.
