(October 9th, 2014)-EDON: For the second time that week, the Lady Panthers had the unenviable task of playing spoiler on another team’s Senior Night.

This time their destination was Edon, as the Lady Bombers closed out their Buckeye Border Conference season at home. And they did so with a victory, taking down the visiting Panthers in straight sets.

With a strong performance in game 1, Edon struck the first blow of the match with a 25-12 win in the set. Game 2 saw a renewed Stryker team attempt to strike back, but fall short 17-25. Completing the sweep, the Lady Bombers earned a match winning 25-13 victory in game 3.

Kaitlyn Sonneberger made 7 digs for the Bombers, as well as 3 kills, an assist, and an ace. Alex Kiess served up 16 assists to go along with her 6 kills, 3 digs, and 1 ace. Also making 6 kills was Nicole Newell, who also offered up 2 digs and 2 aces.

Maddie Uribes gave the Panthers 9 assists, 3 kills, and an ace in the loss. Audra Rupp recorded 3 blocks and 2 aces for Stryker as well. Teammate Katie Yoder added 2 aces as well.
