Dezra Goebel and Joey Brown, 2011 Edon High School graduates, were awarded the American FFA Degree at the 85th National FFA Convention and Expo held last month in Indianapolis.
As the highest honor awarded through the FFA Organization, The American Degree recognizes Goebel and Brown’s demonstrated leadership abilities and outstanding achievements in agricultural business, production, processing and service programs.
Dezra, the daughter of Mike and Jacine Goebel, is currently employed at Carpet Unlimited while maintaining her interest in agriculture; Joey, the son of Albert and Lori Brown, is enrolled at The Ohio State University, majoring in pre-veterinary science. Both were active members of Edon’s FFA Chapter throughout high school under the guidance of agricultural education instructor and FFA Advisor Paul Stoll.
