Eleven Four County Students Place In Top Ten At BPA State

FCCC BPA WEBEleven students from Four County Career Center placed in the top ten in the 2016 Business Professionals of America (BPA) State Competition and two students will be attending the BPA 2016 National Leadership Conference in Boston, Massachusetts. Seniors Jennifer Westrick (FRONT – 3rd LEFT) from Hilltop will be competing in SQL Database Fundamentals; and Alexis Muncy (BACK – FAR RIGHT) from Defiance will be competing in Advanced Office Systems & Procedures.

Students who placed in the top ten include (FRONT – LEFT TO RIGHT) Melisa Cruz (Wauseon) Presentation Management Team; Tory Cupps (Fairview) Financial Math & Analysis Concepts; Westrick; Danielle Steingass (Ayersville) Presentation Management Individual; Erica Golden (Delta) Presentation Management Team; Michelle Dobson (Bryan) Basic Office Systems & Procedures; (BACK – LEFT TO RIGHT) Roscia Creps-Burling (Delta) Presentation Management Team; Dylan Hauser (Defiance) Systems Administration Using Cisco; Carl Pippin (Liberty Center) Java Programming; Matthew Hampton (Delta) Visual Basic/C# Programming; and Muncy.

The national qualifiers will be a part of the 2016 Business Professionals of America Leadership Conference “This Is Our Time” from May 5-9 in Boston. Thousands of students from across the country will gather there to compete, showcase their business aptitudes and develop leadership skills. The National Leadership Conference is the culmination of the BPA year filled with hard work and dedication put into competitions, Torch Awards, leadership development, service and more. Activities will include general sessions with keynote speakers, business meetings, leadership workshops, contests, and the election of national officers. Four County Career Center BPA advisors are Mary Jo Beilharz, Matt Geiger, Tim Ricketts; and Blake Rockey.
