Emery N. Crawford, age 86 years, of Wauseon, passed away Wednesday morning, August 4, 2021, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Maumee. He was born October 14, 1934, at Harrisonburg, VA, the son of Thomas and Mollie (Knight) Crawford.
He married Kathryn Yoder on April 16, 1960, and she preceded him in death on July 30, 2017. A resident of the Wauseon area since 1976, he worked at ITT Higbie in Archbold for 37 years before retiring in 1997.
He served in the U.S. Army in Germany. He was a handy man and enjoyed traveling and bluegrass music. He was a member of Crossroads Evangelical Church in Wauseon.
He is survived by two children, Craig (Lori) Crawford of Misawaka, IN, and Brenda (Chris) Smyser of Westland, MI; three grandchildren, Kelsey Toth, Amanda Smyser and Jarrett Smyser.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; a son, Bryan Crawford in 2016; and two brothers, James and Harold Crawford.
Services will be held on Monday, August 9th, 2021 at 11 AM at Short Funeral Home in Archbold with Pastor Kevin Clark officiating. Interment will follow in the Pettisville Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 10-11 AM on Monday.
