The Evergreen Marching Band and School Choirs Viking Chorale and Viking Voices each were invited to perform down in Florida at Walt Disney World.
The students traveled to the Theme Park on March 12th with both groups performing on March 14th.
The marching band performed at the Magic Kingdom where they participated in a parade. Both the Viking Chorale and Viking Voices performed at Disney Springs at the Waterside Stage.
The opportunity to come down to Disney World is an amazing journey but takes a lot of work to achieve explained both Evergreens band and choir directors.
“I am very pleased with the group and how hard they’ve worked, especially through COVID. We’re so happy they are getting to perform in such a fun place. We hope they’ve enjoyed themselves,” said Band Director Chris Lyons.
“These students have really put their hearts and souls into what they do. I’m so proud of them and what they’ve accomplished,” continued Choir Director Luke Rosen.
Students and chaperones spent three days at the resort with a day each being spent at Animal Kingdom, Magic Kingdom and Hollywood Studios.
After experiencing such a magical moment, students returned to Ohio on March 16th and will return to class following the end of Spring Break.
