Evergreen Schools will now be closed on Tuesday January 4th and Wednesday January 5th. In an email sent out by the Superintendent Eric Smola, the school will be closed for these extra days due to an issue that was found with the campuses emergency fire system.
The email states that no individuals are allowed in the Evergreen buildings until this issue is resolved. All on-campus events, practices, open-gyms, and games scheduled through January 5th are cancelled.
The email continues and states that the school is working with the “local and state fire marshals to determine when our environment is deemed safe for our students and staff to return.”
Currently, the plan as stated, is for normal activities to resume on January 6th. According to the email, an updated announcement will be provided next week to parents and staff.
