Family and friends gathered on Saturday, August 13th at the Montpelier Church of Christ to remember and celebrate the life of Chanelle Albertson, who was tragically killed earlier in the month in a car accident. Approximately 80 community members and Montpelier students attended the event. Pastor Levi (Youth Pastor House of Prayer) lead everyone as they lit candles and inspired everyone to spread Chanelle’s light through the community. Many agreed that this was a night of healing. The family was touched by the good turnout. Chanelle’s father urged the crowd to build their hope on a relationship with Jesus so that they could know that they could see Chanelle again. The church bell was rung 17 times in honor of the 17 years Chanelle was a light to our community.
