The Fayette Area Foundation will be selling pizzas from “The Pizza Stop” as a scholarship fundraiser for 2017 Fayette High School Seniors. Sales will run from March 6th through March 31st.

In the month of December the Foundation was able to acknowledge requests for funding from the Fayette Music Department in the amount of $1,200 for the purchase of instruments, and $1,000 for the Fayette Athletic Department towards the purchase of a soccer goal for the 2017-2018 Youth Soccer Program. These donations were made possible by the Marguerite Grueneberg Fund.

On behalf of The Fayette Area Foundation, we would like to publicly announce and thank the Magdalena Stoner Family for their generous memorial donation of $30,000. Our Finance Committee has set up this Endowment with Huntington Investment Company and invested in a Valero Energy Bond earning 4.9%. This will allow one of our 2017 Fayette High School Seniors to apply for the first “Magdalena Stoner Memorial Scholarship” in the amount of $2,250.

Besides awarding The Foundation’s own 2-3 scholarships annually to Fayette Seniors, we also administer and award the “Loffer Scholarship Fund” in the amount of $2,000.

Chartered in 1992, the Foundation is a vehicle for individuals, groups, residents, corporations, and other interested parties to channel contributions to the Fayette area.
