The annual pancake and sausage supper has made a comeback at Fayette High School. The annual dinner had been a staple in the village for well over 25 years but saw its cancellation during the previous several COVID years. The event has now returned, much to the delight of students and village residents.
Hundreds of community members made their way through the school during the evening hours of Tuesday, October 24th for what was described as a great opportunity for family fun, good food, and fellowship with each other.
The event was previously put on by the Fayette Parent Teacher Organization but was taken over by the school itself this year and headed up by Secretary Amy Hibbard.

This year’s event, in addition to food, also featured a huge selection of desserts, a Chinese Auction, and carnival games for children hosted by National Honor Society students.
Class of 2025 students were also serving coffee from Special Grounds as part of a fundraiser they will be completing in February of next year.
This was meant as a showing of what will be sold by the students in the coming months. FFA students were also in on the event as they helped to serve extras and cleaned trays in order to keep them ready for more visitors.
Hibbard explained that the money collected from the event goes to helping school programs like field trips and pizza parties.
She also explained how excited everyone has been to have this event come back. “We are super excited to have it back this year and to be able to offer it to the community. It was always a great fundraiser for our school and with COVID we weren’t able to have it.”
“So, we just wanted to get it started back up again and bring as many people into the school as we were able to.”
