(December 13th, 2014) – FAYETTE: In an epic contest, the Junior Varsity Girls of Fayette were able to overcome their guests from the Green Meadows Conference, the Antwerp Lady Archers.
The battle between the two young teams raged on for four quarters, with neither team establishing itself as clearly superior to the other. In fact, there was not enough time in regulation to decide a winner. The game had to go into overtime to determine the outcome.
This is where the Lady Eagles separated themselves from the Archers. They were able to pull ahead of Antwerp during this time. The hometown girls of Fayette were able to fend off the visiting Lady Archers, winning the game 29-26.
