EDON – The Fayette Lady Eagles took a road trip on Friday, December 6 to take on the Edon Lady Bombers. The Lady Eagles were too much for the Bombers, prevailing 64-46 on the stellar shooting of Taylor Griffiths, who hit for 18 on the night.
As a team, the Lady Eagles were 19 of 56 for two point shots and were 4 out of 8 from the three point line. The Lady Eagles also shot 14-27 from the line. Fayette also dominated the boards on both ends of the court, outrebounding Edon 47-28.
For the Lady Eagles, both Kaela Seiler and Alexis Fruchey dropped in 12 points each, while Katelyn Bates added 10. Also chipping in on the scoreboard was Paige Keefer with 5 points, Michaela Bates dropped in 4, and Jessie Wheeler rounded out the scoring with 3 on the night.
For the Edon Lady Bombers, Kaitlin Chrisman led the way on the night with 23 points while Bailey Gearhart hit for 8 points; Alex Kiess added 7 and Kaitlyn Manahan hit for 6. Kaitlyn Sonneberger rounded out the scoring for the Lady Bombers with 2 points.
The victory brought the Lady Eagles to 3-1 on the season and 2-0 in the BBC, while the Lady Bombers dropped to 1-4 on the season and 0-2 in the BBC.
