The Fayette School Board held their meeting on February 14th at 6:30 p.m. The meeting was called to order followed by the Pledge of Allegiance.
The board first moved to approve the minutes for the Organizational meeting and Regular meeting that took place on January 10th. Reports and updates were then given by district administrators before moving on to financials.
Board members first approved the financial report for the month of January before then moving to approve the following donations made to the district. $60 from an anonymous donor to the FFA program activities. $100 from Ohio Gas Co. for the archery program. $100 from Archbold Refuse Service for the archery program. $60 from Reba Rash to purchase a student’s FFA jacket.
The following personnel recommendations were also approved. Approval for the updated sub teacher and para list from NwoESC for FY22.
Approved the resignation of Andrew Richardson as Asst. JV/Varsity Girls Coach for FY22 effective January 20th, 2022. Approved unpaid leave for Sarah Altstatter for March 17th-18th, 2022.
Approved an FMLA leave request for Fawn Schaffner beginning December 11th, 2021, through March 11th, 2022. Approved an FMLA leave request for Lisa Hintz beginning March 21st, 2022, through April 19th, 2022.
Approved Ryan Eberly as a volunteer bus driver for FY22. Approved Kristen Johnson as a substitute cafeteria worker.
Approved a one-year supplemental contract for 2022-2023 Fall coaches as follows: Bryan Stambaugh – Varsity Cross County Coach, Matt Maginn – Asst. Cross Country/Junior High Coach, Megan Meyer – Varsity Volleyball Coach, Brooke Hines – Asst. Volleyball/JV Coach, Ryan Colegrove – Varsity Golf Coach, Kortney Kessler – JH Volleyball Coach, and Hunter Colegrove – Asst. Golf/Junior High Coach.
Moving on to agreements and policies, the following items were approved by board members.
Membership in the Ohio High School Athletic Association for 2022-2023. A one-year contract with Northwest Ohio Educational Service Center to provide services for 2022-2023.
A 48-month contract with Northern Buckeye Education Council for E-rate eligible Category One bundle Lease Lit Fiber with internet access and transport beginning July 1st, 2022.
Approval to join the OHI Charter Workers Compensation Group Rating Program for January 1st, 2022, through December 31st, 2022.
Approved Amy Mitchell to fulfill the vacancy of Jennifer Wagner as board member for the Normal Memorial Library Board beginning January 1st, 2022, through December 31st, 2027. With no further business to discuss, the board moved to adjourn for the evening.
