A special session of the Fayette Village Council was held May 14th, where council members gathered to address key infrastructure funding and legislative business.

In attendance were council members Brittany Theis, Katie Colegrove, Brenda Shoemaker, and Greg Gable. Members Kim Priestep, Suzette Boesger, and Mayor Dave Borer were absent. Also present were Fiscal Officer Jessica Swander and Administrator Bryan Stambaugh.

Following approval of the agenda as presented, the council unanimously approved the voucher register totaling $2,772.09.

The meeting’s primary focus was on legislative actions concerning the village’s ongoing water infrastructure project.

Council voted to suspend the rules and pass a Notice of Award in a single reading. The award, recommended by Arcadis, was given to Bryan Excavating, LLC for Phase II of the village wide water main replacement project. The approved contract totals $2,492,159.79.

With no further new or old business to address, the meeting was adjourned at 5:37 p.m. on a motion by Shoemaker, seconded by Theis.
