BOYS BASKETBALL

Archbold 67 Evergreen 22

Archbold started the game on a 30-2 run and held the Vikings without a field goal in the first half as they routed Evergreen 67-22. Archbold (14-4, 5-0 in NWOAL) connected on 11 triples and were led in scoring by Noah Gomez with 13, DJ Newman had 12 and Tyler Hurst added 10. Brock Hudik had six for Evergreen (13-5, 2-3).

Wauseon 48 Patrick Henry 25

Wauseon improved to 15-2 overall and 5-0 in the NWOAL as they cruised past Patrick Henry 48-25. Connar Penrod had 12 points and Jonas Tested added 11 for the Indians.


Montpelier 57 Hilltop 28

Tylor Yahraus had 18 points to lead three Locos in double figures as Montpelier (8-5, 5-2 in BBC) rolled to a 57-28 triumph over Hilltop. Thomas Jay had 15 and Garret Walz added 11 Montpelier, who drained seven shots from beyond the arc as a team.

Treven Baer tallied 13 points for Hilltop (0-11, 1-17), nine of those coming in the fourth quarter.


Edon 58 Pettisville 41

Drew Gallehue hit two triples in the opening quarter as Edon raced to an 18-5 lead on their way to handing Pettisville their first BBC loss of the season. Jack Berry pumped in a game-high 27 points for Edon (6-7, 6-3 in BBC) while Gallehue and Ethan Steinke had nine points each.

Max Leppelmeier had five treys and three free throws to lead Pettisville (13-3, 9-1) with 18 points.

Edgerton 43 Hicksville 42


Edgerton led 34-27 after three quarters and were able to hold off Hicksville in the final stanza for the 43-42 win. Craig Blue led the Bulldog (8-7, 3-3 in GMC) attack with 14 points and Noah Landel added 11.
