(COLUMBUS, Ohio)—Ohio Governor Mike DeWine, Lt. Governor Jim Tressel, and Ohio Department of Development Director Lydia Mihalik have announced the approval of eight projects that will create 1,320 new jobs and retain 1,195 jobs statewide.

During its monthly meeting, the Ohio Tax Credit Authority (TCA) reviewed economic development proposals brought to the board by JobsOhio and its regional partners.

The projects are expected to result in more than $80.6 million in new payroll and generate over $853 million in investments across Ohio. Williams and Fulton County each had a project among the eight approved.

First Quality Home Care Products LLC, Village of Archbold (Fulton County), expects to create 400 full-time-equivalent employees, generating $20 million in new annual payroll as a result of the company’s project in the village of Archbold.

First Quality manufactures adult incontinence products, feminine hygiene products, baby wipes, adult washcloths, and consumer paper products for institutional and retail markets worldwide.

The proposed project by First Quality involves a recently purchased Utah-based detergent and cleaner line, looking for a new location to expand operations. TCA approved a 1.601 percent, 10-year Job Creation Tax Credit for the project.

V-Rod USA, Inc., Florence Township (Williams County), expects to create 60 full-time-equivalent employees, generating $4.03 million in new annual payroll as a result of the company’s project in Florence Township.

The proposed project involves siting their first U.S. location to manufacture composite rebars for the U.S. market. TCA approved a 1.393 percent, eight-year Job Creation Tax Credit for the project.
