MIX 98.1 “CHRISTMAS FOR KIDS” DRIVE … For eighteen years, Mix 98.1 has traveled throughout Williams, Fulton, Henry, Defiance and Paulding Counties collecting Christmas toys for local children. As they have for the past nine years, Florence Township Fire Department joined their efforts and hosted a “Christmas for Kids” Drive during its annual Feather Party held Tuesday, November 20, 2012. On hand that evening to accept Samantha and Jarrett Trausch’s gifts were Marines Corps League “Christmas for Kids” representative Ray Dailey and Rick Small of Mix 98.1/The Wake Up Show. All toy and monetary donations collected during the Feather Party were donated to the Edon Area Ministerial Association for its A Caring Christmas outreach ministry; the EAMA will benefit from the upcoming Defiance Northtowne Mall Drive as well. With everyone’s help, Mix 98.1 hopes to brighten Christmas for all children throughout Williams County again this year.
