The Fountain City Amphitheater brought its summer concert season to a close on August 2, 2025, with a genre-blending double feature showcasing two Americana bands: Chloe & the Steel Strings and Grouchy Like Riley.

Guests were invited to enjoy food trucks from Wicked Wiches, Pink Penguin, along with a close-off beer garden for participating adults. Attendees were encouraged to bring lawn chairs, relax with friends, and enjoy one final evening of live music under the stars.

The evening kicked off at 6:00 p.m. with Toledo-based Chloe & the Steel Strings, a group known for its blend of psychedelic folk rock and heartfelt, soul-searching lyrics.

Led by Chloe and Connor Ward, lead singer and bassist of the band, they offered a nostalgic sound that kept the crowd dancing and toe-tapping.

At 8:00 p.m., the stage welcomed Grouchy Like Riley, from Austin, Texas. Featuring veteran musicians Danny Britt, Chip Dolan, and Marvin Dykhuis, the band delivered masterful Americana tunes with rich storytelling and timeless energy.

Grouchy Like Riley helped end the 2025 Bryan Amphitheater summer jam sessions with a night to remember. The event capped off a busy week at the AMP.

As the final notes faded into the night, the Fountain City Amphitheater closed out its concert season on a high note – celebrating a summer of community, music, and shared experiences.
