METAMORA – The Hilltop Lady Cadets and the Evergreen Lady Vikings locked in a back and forth battle on January 29. Trailing by a point going into the fourth period, the Lady Cadets answered the bell, going on a 12-6 run and running away with a hard fought 41-36 win.
Hannah Bleikamp added 5 steals to her game-high 17 points for Hilltop, while Emily Armbruster added a dozen. Sam Lillemon had 7 points and 5 rebounds, Cierra Carpenter had 3 points, 6 rebounds, 7 assists and 7 steals, and Jackie Smith put in 2 points.
