The Fulton County Commissioners met for their regular session on Thursday, October 9, 2025. The meeting began with the Pledge of Allegiance, an opening prayer, and a roll call of all three commissioners.
The minutes from the previous session held on October 7 were approved, along with the day’s agenda. Commissioners then moved on to a piece of old business concerning a real property tax exemption application filed by the Wauseon Exempted Village School District. Correspondence from the Ohio Department of Taxation confirmed the application was received and is under review.
In new business, the board passed several resolutions involving budgetary matters and contracts. These included a sizable appropriations request increase across multiple departments, with key items including salary adjustments in the GIS department, professional service funding, indigent court equipment, and a large advance out of the general fund totaling $1.37 million for the Love’s TIO Grant project.
That same amount was officially advanced into Fund 2775 to support the County Road H and State Route 109 reconstruction initiative.
Additionally, the commissioners approved an addendum to the Community-Based Corrections Subsidy Grant Agreement, a contract with Vernon Nagel Inc. for roadway improvements and signal installation at County Road H and State Route 109, and a contract with Frey & Sons, Inc. for the auctioning of SRT equipment on behalf of the Sheriff’s Office.
The board also approved all submitted purchase orders and travel requests. At 9:15 a.m., the board welcomed Scott Gruber of CMT for an investment update. The session adjourned following his presentation.
