Part of the August 12, 2021, Thursday morning meeting of the Fulton County Commissioners brought smiles to their faces, as Stapleton Insurance Representative Craig Kachmarik presented them with a check for $16,470.

The check was for dividends for 2021-2022 and he stated that CORSA would like to see the money be used towards Cyber Risk Management as they have seen an exponential increase in cyber attacks.

In regular business, the commissioners voted to approve:

-Agenda, minutes for previous meeting and increase and transfer of appropriations for various departments
-Resolution 2021-585 Oversight of amendment #2 to Contract 2021-20 with Genacross Lutheran Services on behalf of JFS
-Resolution 586 Cancel Session September 9, 2021
-Resolution 587 Pay request #1 Final to Geddis Paving and Excavating for North Star U.S. 20A Turn Lane Project
-Resolution 588 Enter into Lease Agreement 2021-84 with Fulton County Soil and Water District
-Resolution 589 Accept Resignation of JFS Employee and Authorize Ad for Employment Opportunity
-Purchase orders and travel requests

When the Commissioners reviewed some correspondence from Stresscare Behavioral Health, Commissioner Jeff Rupp asked if they needed to start looking for a new provider.

County Administrator Vond Hall said that he had spoken with Wauseon Fire Chief Rick Sluder and Sluder has two or three other vendors that he is aware of and would like to contact before a decision is made.

He will get back to the commissioners with a recommendation on who they would like as the provider.

On Tuesday, August 17, 2021 the Commissioners had a light load and approved:

-Minutes from August 12 and the agenda for the day
-Payment of bills and Increase and transfer of appropriations for various departments
-Resolution 595 Allow the Removal of Wildlife at the Pettisville Wastewater Lagoons (as it has been determined that “the presence of geese, muskrats, ground hogs and woodchucks population is a nuisance, damaging to the lagoon’s structure and affecting the wastewater treatment efficiency.”
-Resolution 596 Select property valuation method for the Fulton County Courthouse (agree for it to be a Reproduction value)
-Resolution 597 Authorize ad for employment opportunity (Intake/Eligibility Specialist for JFS)
-Purchase orders and travel requests

With no further business the meeting was adjourned.
