MOVING PROJECTS FORWARD … During their May 13 session, Fulton County Commissioners approved a road improvement contract, authorized budget adjustments, and reviewed recent activity reports, including updates from the Dog Warden’s office.

The Fulton County Commissioners met on May 13th in Wauseon for their regular session. The meeting began with the Pledge of Allegiance, a prayer, and roll call, followed by approval of the May 8 meeting minutes and the day’s agenda.
During the session, the commissioners approved payment of bills and reviewed recent reports from the Dog Warden for the weeks ending April 26 and May 3. The reports included information on animal pickups, redemptions, rescues, and related fees collected.
Under new business, the board passed several resolutions. These included a contract with Ward Construction for the 2025 Seal Coat Project, initiated by the county engineer.
The board also approved purchase orders and travel requests from various departments.
Two appropriations were approved: a $10,000 increase for vehicle maintenance supplies and a $25,000 increase to support the Common Pleas Court’s electronic monitoring program.
Additionally, $300,000 was transferred from unappropriated funds to support contract projects within the engineer’s department.
The meeting concluded shortly after 9:05 a.m. The commissioners noted their participation in the Wauseon 2nd Grade Walking Tours on May 13th. The next regular session is scheduled for Thursday, May 15th at 9:00 a.m.
