FULTON COUNTY COMMISSIONERS: Proclamation Received For County’s 175th Birthday

Meetings for the Fulton County Commissioners were held on Tuesday, April 1st and Thursday, April 3rd. The meetings began at 9:00 a.m. with the Pledge of Allegiance and a prayer.

During each of the meetings, the commissioners approved minutes from the previous meeting, the current day’s agenda, and the bills as presented. Commissioners also passed several resolutions as part of their regular business, which are listed below.


April 1st
-Resolution 2025-217: Approve appropriations requests for various departments.

-Resolution 2025-218: Enter into Contract 2025-34 with CCAO for Workers Compensation Group Retrospective Rating Plan.

-Resolution 2025-219: Approve ad for employment opportunity with JFS.


-Resolution 2025-220: Approve payment request to Wessler Construction for Contract 2022-131 – Pleasant View WWTP.

-Resolution 2025-221: Accept retirement resignation of Public Utilities employee.

-Resolution 2025-222: Proclaim April 1, 2025, as Fulton County’s 175th Anniversary.

-Resolution 2025-223: Approve purchase orders and travel requests.


Commissioners then entered into recess at 9:07 a.m. and returned at 11:05 a.m. to welcome Tim Schneider, who presented a proclamation on behalf of Senator Bernie Moreno’s Office, recognizing Fulton County’s 175th Anniversary.

During the presentation, Schneider read Senator Moreno’s proclamation, highlighting the county’s history and accomplishments over the past 175 years.

The senator extended congratulations to the citizens of Fulton County and expressed admiration for their resilience and community spirit.

April 3rd
-Review correspondence from the Ohio Department of Agriculture accepting the Apiary appointment.

-Resolution 2025-226: Approve appropriations requests for various departments.

-Resolution 2025-227: Approve payment request #3 to Contract 2024-112 with Huner Services for Ditch Improvement Project 2151 – Gorham.

-Resolution 2025-228: Approve Amendment #4 to Contract 2017-44 with Ohio Department of Public Safety – BMV rent.

-Resolution 2025-229: Approve legal and authorize ad for Ditch Improvement Project 2152 – Rod Short.

-Resolution 2025-230: Proclaim April 2025 as National Government Month.

-Resolution 2025-231: Approve purchase orders and travel requests.
