The Fulton County Fair was presented with the Greater Ohio Showmen’s Association’s Best Fair of the Year Award on Saturday, March 29th.

The award is presented to a fair in Ohio yearly, with Fulton County being nominated this year by Bair’s Concessions. Award recipients are chosen from the pool of nominees from throughout the state.

Fulton County Fair Board President Ron Rice explained that receiving the award makes him proud. “I am very proud of receiving it and very proud of my group. We have a great group of board members and auxiliary members. Without them this wouldn’t be accomplished.”

This award comes after a record-breaking year for the 2024 season. This record-breaking season came following a set back the fair had to overcome just over ten days before kickoff, when the water tower supplying the fair was shut down.

Even still, the fair was able to break its record of 325,224 set in 2019, with 335,029 visitors in 2024.
