Fulton County Grand Jury Hands Down Indictments Against 14 Individuals

On October 15, 2018, the Fulton County Grand Jury considered indictments charging individuals with Fulton County crimes, according to Fulton County Prosecuting Attorney Scott A. Haselman.

GUADALUPE J.  PAIZ, age 35, of Mathis, TX, was indicted on six counts of Nonsupport of Dependents. On or about January 1, 2017 to July 28, 2018, he allegedly failed to provide child support totaling $3,007.76. 18CR161.

JACOB J. AMES, age 30, of Bryan, OH, was indicted on one count of Receiving Stolen Property, one count of Theft From a Person in a Protected Class, and three counts of Theft. On or about September 19, 2018 to September 27, he allegedly stole property, some of which was from an elderly person. He also allegedly received a motor vehicle knowing or having reasonable cause to believe that it had been stolen. 18CR155.

KENYATA W. WALKER, age 32, of Middletown, OH, was indicted on one count of Failure to Appear on Personal Recognizance Bond. On or about September 24, 2018/ he allegedly failed to appear for a motion hearing. 18CR169.


JACOB C. HITE, age 27, of Wauseon, OH, was Indicted on one count of Possession of Heroin. On or about July 19, 2018, he allegedly possessed heroin, 18CR158.

ALLEN  M. PEDIGO, age 27, of Oregon, OH, was indicted on one count of Theft and one count of Forgery. On or about July 17, 2018, he allegedly stole and forged a blank check, 18CR168.

CARL M. SMITH, age 41, of Swanton, OH, was indicted on two counts of Domestic Violence. On or about September 7, 2018 and September 15, 2018, he allegedly caused or attempted to cause physical harm to a family or household member. 18CR157.


JONATHAN E. TAYLOR, age 33, of Swanton, OH, was indicted on two counts of Having Weapons While Under Disability. On or about September 11, 2018, he allegedly possessed a firearm while under disability. 18CR163,

CARL F. GARZA, Jr., age 48, Of Wauseon, OH, was indicted on one count of Possessing Criminal Tools, one count of Breaking and Entering, one count of Attempted Safecracking, and one count Of Burglary. On or about September 29, 2018, he allegedly trespassed in an unoccupied structure and allegedly attempted to open a safe. On or about September 13, 2018 to September 14, 2018, he allegedly trespassed in an occupied structure with the purpose to commit an offense. IBCR156.

BENJAMIN L. WAGNER, age, 44 of Delta, OH, was indicted on counts of Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated. On or about September 29, 2018, he allegedly operated a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs, having previously been convicted of three or four prior offenses within ten years. 1BCR167.

MICHAEL J. MILLIGAN, age 38, of Deshler, OH, was indicted on one count of Theft and one count of Forgery. On or about September 26, 2018, he allegedly stole and forged a blank check. 18CR165.


AUSTIN J. BUETER, age 25, of Wauseon, OH, was indicted on one count of Assault. On or about October 4, 2018, he allegedly caused or attempted to cause physical harm to a sheriff’s deputy while performing his official duties. 18CR162.

DYLAN W. I. SHEPARD, age 22, of Wauseon, OH, was indicted on one count of Unlawful Sexual Conduct With a Minor and one count of Disseminating Matter Harmful to Juveniles. On or about the month of May 2018, he allegedly engaged in sexual conduct with a person age 13 or older but less than age 16. He also allegedly provided obscene material to a juvenile. 18CR160

JALEN N. BRIMMER, age 21, of Wauseon, OH, was indicted on one count of Tampering With Evidence. On or about October 5, 2018, he allegedly tampered with evidence in an official investigation. 18CR160

AXLE A. ROARK, age 29, of West Unity, was indicted on one count of Escape. On or about October 12, 2018, he allegedly fled from a police officer while under detention for committing a misdemeanor. 18C164.

It should be noted that an indictment is merely an accusation and that all criminal defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
