Fulton County Grand Jury Indicts Seven Individuals

On January 9, 2017, the Fulton County Grand Jury considered indictments charging individuals with Fulton County crimes, according to Fulton County Prosecuting Attorney Scott A. Haselman.

Gregorio Tapia-Camacho, age 36, of Mount Prospect, IL, was indicted on one count of Forgery. On or about December 31, 2016, he allegedly possessed a forged Illinois driver’s license and forged Illinois identification card.

Adam J. Howe, age 31, of Napoleon, OH, was indicted on one count of Theft and one count of Engaging in a Pattern of Corrupt Activity. On or about December 10 to December 18, 2016, he allegedly stole cell phones valued at more than $1,000 but less than $7,500. He also allegedly participated in the affairs of an enterprise through a pattern of corrupt activity.

Marguerite L. Weber, age 35, of Napoleon, OH, was indicted on one count of Theft and one count of Engaging in a Pattern of Corrupt Activity. On or about December 10 to December 18, 2016, she allegedly stole cell phones valued at more than $1,000 but less than $7,500. She also allegedly participated in the affairs of an enterprise through a pattern of corrupt activity.

Fred A. Kreiner, age 50, of Wauseon, OH, was indicted on two county of Failure to Stop After an Accident. On or about October 7, 2016, he allegedly failed to stop his motor vehicle at the scene of an accident, knowing that the accident resulted in serious physical harm to another person. He also allegedly failed to remain at the scene until he gave his name and address to the driver, owner, or occupant of the damaged vehicle, or to any person injured in the accident. Finally, Mr. Kreiner allegedly failed to notify the nearest police authority concerning the location of the accident, as well as his name, address, and registered number of his motor vehicle, and then allegedly failed to remain at the scene until police arrived.

Ryan R. Smigelski, age 27, of Swanton, OH, was indicted on one count of Theft and one count of Forgery. On or about December 30, 2016, he allegedly stole and then forged checks.

Jade W. Herzog, age 41, of Bryan, OH, was indicted on two counts of Receiving Stolen Property, one count of Identity Fraud, one count of Failure to Comply with Order or Signal of Police Officer, one count of Felonious Assault, and one count of Vandalism. On or about January 1, 2017, he allegedly received or retained a motor vehicle and a credit card knowing or having reasonable cause to believe that they had been stolen. He also allegedly used personal identifying information of another with the intent to hold himself out to be the other person, and allegedly caused or attempted to cause physical harm to a police officer by means of a motor vehicle. Lastly, Mr. Herzog allegedly failed to stop his motor vehicle after receiving a visible or audible signal from a police officer, allegedly causing serious physical harm to property owned by a governmental entity.

Shawn M. Gilbert, age 43, of Archbold, OH, was indicted on one count of Theft. On or about January 9, 2011 to January 9, 2017, she allegedly obtained Supplemental Security Income benefits by deception.

It should be noted that an indictment is merely an accusation and that all criminal defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
