FULTON COUNTY GRAND JURY: Swanton Man Involved In Standoff With Police Indicted By Grand Jury

On October 16, 2023, the Fulton County Grand Jury considered indictments charging Individuals with Fulton County crimes, according to the Fulton County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.

Among those indicted was Zachary P. Wehman, age 36 of Swanton, Ohio, who was part of a standoff with police back on September 27, 2023 in Swanton.

He allegedly did, by force, threat, or deception, remove the victim from the place where they were found or restrain the liberty of them for the purpose of facilitating the commission of a felony.

He also allegedly did cause or attempt to cause physical harm to and obtain or exert control over the property of the victim, which was a dangerous drug.

He allegedly impaired the ability of law enforcement officers to respond to an emergency or to protect any person from serious physical harm and allegedly carried or used a firearm while under the influence of drugs and alcohol.

He was indicted on two counts of Kidnapping, one count of Felonious Assault, one count of Abduction, one count of Having Weapons While Under Disability, one count of Theft of Drugs, one count of Disrupting Public Services, two counts of Theft From a Person in a Protected Class, one count of Aggravated Possession of Drugs, one count of Domestic Violence, and one count of Using Weapons While Intoxicated.

Other individuals indicted included:

-Jaimie E. Fouty, age 37, of Wauseon, OH, was indicted on one count of Aggravated Possession of Drugs. On or about April 16, 2023, she allegedly possessed Methamphetamine. 23CR117.

-Jeffrey W. Nadeau, Jr., age 38, of Wauseon, OH, was indicted on two counts of Aggravated Possession of Drugs and one count of Having Weapons While Under Disability. On or about April 16, 2023, he allegedly possessed Methamphetamine and did allegedly acquire, have, carry, or use a firearm or dangerous ordinance while under disability. 23CR116.

-Frank H. Holmes, age 38, of Milwaukee, WI, was indicted on one count of Having Weapons While Under Disability. On or about September 21, 2023, he allegedly did acquire, carry, or use a firearm or dangerous ordinance, while under disability. 23CR113.

-Nathan E. Jokinen, age 22, of Delta, OH, was indicted on one count of Assault On a Peace Officer. On or about October 6, 2023, he allegedly caused or attempted to cause physical harm to another. 23CR115.

It should be noted that an indictment is merely an accusation, and that all criminal defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
