Wauseon, OH – Fall is fast approaching in Northwest Ohio. Soon, it will be time to send your kids back to school. As you are purchasing supplies, and thinking about what clothes your child will need, think also about which vaccines are required for school entry for the 2016/2017 year.

There are new recommendations for upcoming seventh and twelfth graders this year. The meningitis vaccine (which protects against four deadly strains of meningococcal disease) is now a requirement for these two age groups. For seventh graders, the Tdap (tetanus, diphtheria and pertussis) vaccine is also required. As always, your Fulton County Health Department is available to administer these vaccines, or answer any questions/concerns that you may have.

Please be sure to make your appointment today by calling 419-337-0915, and remember … Be Wise and Immunize!
