On the 4th of December, Fulton County schools undertook a series of head-to-head quiz-off competitions which persisted throughout the day.
The competitions were held at the Northwest Ohio Educational Service Center in Archbold, with Archbold, Delta, Evergreen, Fayette, Pettisville, Swanton, and Wauseon participating in the competitions.
Both junior varsity and varsity teams of each school competed against other teams from a different school in a round-robin format where each school faced all the others.
The event began at 9:00 a.m. with the Varsity and Junior Varsity teams facing off against their opponents. Upon completion of the questions, the schools would switch and face off against another opponent. At the end of each round, the points were tallied and added to the board.
At the end of the day, Pettisville’s Varsity team was declared the winner, with Wauseon and Swanton coming in second and third place, respectively.
For the junior varsity teams, Evergreen emerged as the winner, with Swanton and Delta taking second and third place, correspondingly. Pettisville and Wauseon’s varsity teams have qualified for the Quiz Off scheduled for April 2024.
The head-to-head competitions held among the schools of Fulton County were a resounding success, demonstrating the students’ knowledge and intellect.
The competitions provided an opportunity for students to showcase their abilities and compete with their peers, furthering their academic development.
