Graduation Day Set At Stryker

Graduation ceremonies for Stryker High School’s Class of 2016 is set for next month.
The Board of Education approved May 22 as the date, contingent on students meeting all state and local requirements.
The board also approved the Northwest Ohio Educational Service Center service contract for the 2016-17 school year, as presented.
The board approved 2016-2017 Transportation Agreement with North Central Schools.
In other news, board received the treasurer/CFO report for March.

Highlights of the General Fund activity:
General fund cash balance of $3,445,094.98
Total Revenue of $1,207,802.46
1. Real Estate Tax $811,888.06
2. Tangible Personal Property Tax $121,896.86
3. Unrestricted grants in aid of $219,074.12
4. Restricted Grants in Aid of $3,085.09
5. All other Operating revenue $51,858.33
Total expenses of $403,472.15

1) Personnel services of $185,116.53
2) Retirement/insurances of $73,272.11
3) Purchased services of $119,061.09
4) Supplies of $6,676.06
5) All other expenses of $19,346.36

The Board accepted the following donation(s) :
6) Oberlin Farms Demolition & Recycling, LLC
donation of $150 toward Post Prom
7) Three Cord– donation of $68 toward Stryker Archery Club
8) Goebel Farms – donation of $200 toward the Stryker Ag Department
9) Bison Rapids – donation of $415 toward Post Prom

Upcoming activities include:
May 6 – Kindergarten conferences 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
May 9 – Senior Class tour of the courthouse and jail
May 9 – Elementary School Arts Night 7 p.m. on the stage
May 10 – junior high and high school arts night at 7:30 p.m. on the stage
May 12 – K to 4 incentive trip to the Toledo Mud Hens game
May 16 – Senior exams
May 16 – Academic Awards Night: 5 p.m. appetizer/desert bar; 6 p.m. awards.

The board approved the Non-Renewal of the following Educational Tutors, effective May 19, as presented. (This is not job performance related, SIP funds expire end of this school year)

2. Holly Schultz
3. Lea McIntire


The board approved the following the following classified substitutes and volunteers for the 2015-16 or 2016-17 school year, contingent upon required BCI/FBI background check and all required documents.

Conner Varner – Girls Basketball

The board approved the following Supplemental Contracts for the 2016-2017 School year, as presented:

Varsity Cross-country Boy – Scott Goodnight
Spanish Club (As needed) – Barb Yoder
Varsity Cross-country Girls – Scott Goodnight
Weight Room Monitor – Justin Sonnenberg & Kevin Beck
Archery Assistant – Mike Donovan

The board approved the following Employment Contracts, beginning with the 2016-2017 school year:
