PRESS RELEASE – As the holiday season approaches, Grace Cares is kicking off its 2025 Giving Season with renewed commitment to serving the needs of families throughout Northwest Ohio.

Under the leadership of Director Stefanie Widney, the organization is expanding its reach through a series of vital initiatives aimed at fighting food insecurity and bringing holiday joy to local children.

This year, Grace Cares has broadened its food distribution program, now offering support to families multiple times a year. “We know that families struggle to make ends meet, not just during the holidays, but all year long,” Widney explained. “Our goal is to offer relief when it’s needed most.”

Upcoming Initiatives Thanksgiving Food Distribution
On November 20, Grace Cares will provide a week’s worth of groceries, cleaning supplies, and toiletries to 150 families in Williams County. Registration for recipients opens October 13.

Back to School Food Distribution
Earlier this year, the organization supplied groceries to 50 families with school-aged children, helping to ease the financial burden that comes with school fees and supplies. The need was so great that registration filled within just 24 hours.

Toys for Tots Distribution
Looking ahead, Grace Cares will host the annual Toys for Tots event at Grace Community Church on December 22, distributing toys to between 700 and 900 children in Williams County.

How to Help
Grace Cares invites community members to partner in their mission through monetary donations, volunteering, or both.

Donations help purchase much-needed food and supplies, while volunteers are crucial for packing and distributing goods—and for making the Toys for Tots event a success.

“We cannot accomplish these projects alone,” Widney noted. “As you plan your year-end charitable giving, we hope you’ll consider supporting Grace Cares. Together, we can make a meaningful difference in our community.”

For more information, to donate, or to volunteer, contact Grace Cares at 206 W. Bement St., Bryan, OH 43506, call 419-633-1125, visit gracecares419.org, or email gracecares419ohio@gmail.com. Follow updates on Facebook at @gracecares419.
