Harold G. Demaline

Harold G. Demaline, age 89, of Delta, passed away peacefully, Friday, September 23, 2016 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born February 3, 1927 in Wauseon to the late Vern and Lillian (Markley) Demaline. He was a 1945 graduate of Delta High School and served in the Navy during WWII. On August 3, 1947 he married Patricia Keesling and she preceded him in death in 2008.

Harold worked as a supervisor for Boyers Construction in Wauseon and Commomwealth Construction in Holland, OH for many years. He was a member of the United Methodist Church and a past member of Delta Rotary Club and the Lions Club. Harold enjoyed fishing and was an avid Ohio State Buckeyes fan. He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Harold is survived by five children, Jerry (Kristine) Demaline, of Delta, Terry (Diana) Demaline, of Ft. Myers, FL, Linda (Rick) Baker, of Manitou Beach, MI, Rick (Lisa) Demaline, of Scottsdale, AZ and Scott (Lori) Demaline, of Swanton; eleven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren and one brother, Vernon “Bud” Demaline. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife of 60 years, Patricia, three sisters, Ruth Steward, Donna Miller and Alice Ousterhout and two brothers, Howard and Bob Demaline.

The family will receive friends from 10:00AM – 12:00 PM on Thursday, September 29, 2016 at Barnes Funeral Chapel, 5825 St. Hwy. 109 in Delta; where a memorial service will be held at 12:00 PM. Pastor Steven Newburg will be officiating. Interment will follow at Zion Cemetery near Delta.


In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to the Visiting Nurses of Fulton County, 230 Westfield Drive, Archbold, OH 43502 or the Delta American Legion in his memory. Online condolences may be sent to the family through our website at www.barnesfuneralchapel.com
