DIVISION III DISTRICT SEMIFINALS

Fairview 3 Swanton 1

TONTOGANY – Kelly Crites delivered 20 kills and Haley Hammer added 28 assists and 20 digs to lead Fairview to the district finals after beating Swanton in four sets.


The Bulldogs end their season with a record of 22-3.

Fairview (23-2) – Aubrey Hammer: 3 kills, 11/12 hitting, 3 assists, 12/16 serving, 11 digs, 13/16 serve receive; Haley Hammer: 7 kills, 10/10 hitting, 28 assists, 3 aces, 19/19 serving, 20 digs; Zoe Appel: 9/11 serving, 11 digs; Kelly Crites: 20 kills, 40/47 hitting, 6 aces, 23/24 serving, 6 digs, 11/12 serve receive; Paige Ricica: 13 kills, 30/32 hitting, 9/10 serving, 4 blocks, 5 digs, 23/28 serve receive

Eastwood 3 Archbold 0

TONTOGANY – No. 3 seed Eastwood controlled all three sets in knocking off No. 2 Archbold 25-15, 25-20, 25-13 at Otsego High School.

Olivia Liechty had seven kills and Kelly Culler tallied five assists for the Bluestreaks, who finish the 2022 campaign at 20-4.

BOYS SOCCER

Delta 1 Lake 1 (2OT) Delta wins PKs 5-3

LAKE – Double overtime wasn’t enough as Delta went to penalty kicks to get by Lake in a matchup of teams with no losses on their record.

Caiden Etter gave Delta 1-0 lead at halftime with a goal assisted by Luke Reinhard in the first half.

The Flyers were able to tie things up in the second half to force the overtimes where neither team to crack the scoreboard.

No. 1 seed Delta will face No. 2 Bowling Green (10-8-2) in the district finals back at Lake High School on Thursday night at 5pm.
