Hilltop Cadets Open BBC Action At Home Hosting Fayette Eagles; Prevail 4-1

WEST UNITY: April 10– The Hilltop Cadets opened conference play at home, playing host to Fayette on April 10, taking down the visiting Eagles 4-1 to move to 1-0 in the BBC.

On the mound for the Cadets, Logan Booker went the distance earning the win, allowing just 6 hits and striking out 13 on the game. Chipping in offensively for Hilltop, Zach Roehrs recorded a double in the game while Chad Champion was credited with 2 hits. Justin Grapengeter had an RBI on a sacrifice; Quinn Smith crossed the plate 2 times in the game for Hilltop.

For the Eagles in the loss, Koby Biddix absorbed the loss, allowing 4 hits and 4 runs from the mound. Jared Wagner chipped in on offense, going 2 for 3, while Joel Smith and Jerad Seiler each had hits for a single.
