Hilltop Falls To Visiting NWOAL Power Archbold 11-3 In Non-Conference Play

WEST UNITY:  May 09- The Hilltop Cadets played host to Archbold on May 9 for a non-conference game with the NWOAL’s Blue Streaks, dropping the game 11-3 to the visitors.

Jalen Towers took the loss for the Cadets, going 5 innings and giving up 7 earned runs off of 10 hits.  Ryan Brooker also saw 2 innings  of work in the loss.

At the plate for the Cadets, Nic Schieber went 2 for 2 in the batter’s box with an RBI; Jesse Westfall, Justin Grapengeter and Quinn Smith also logged hits in the loss, with Smith driving in the remaining RBI in the game. Both Westfall and Grapengeter also recorded a stolen base on the day.
